So there is a conversation taking place at work in regards to the possible funding cuts to HBCU's . The conversation includes a mini synopsis of what/why/how HBCU's are important. There is one African American girl about 22 who ask"what is segregation?" At this point I'm waiting for the PUN or SUMTHING..Never in my WILDEST Dreams would I think a girl that age with two parents would have to ask such a RIDICULOUS QUESTION. I explain what it is in my usual incredulous tone when faced with sheer IGNORANCE.The face that this girl was serious was one of HORROR. I can not not imagine growing up in TEXAS she did not know what segregation meant. To add to my quest for a better AFRICAN AMERICAN life I have began to think of ways to address more of the same IGNORANCE. The audacity that anyone would think that this country is sooo GREAT that there is no need to understand Social Structure totally UNNERVES ME! Life is full of subtle implications as well as overt  gestures to stay in one's place, class etc. Reality is definitely distorted !!!

Conspiracy Theory

Look at the world today. Look at the alliances that have come FULL CIRCLE. Most have oppressed the POOR. Greed  has robbed men and raped women relentlessly. DIPLOMACY is just a euphemism ORGANIZED CRIME. When you think of filmmaker Micheal Moore so would equate his build to imply TRASH but in actuality he is the TRUTH...Have you seen the clip of former(little) Bush telling him to "GET A JOB" after his film "CAPITALISM" was released. Epic encounter social/civil advocates understood the comment but it can be assumed it was dismisse as HUMOR by the MASSES. The general topic of this blog has a negative correlation to quacks. In the masses mind because most people to not ANALYZE information for themselves. If it sounds ridiculous and has no correlation to the scheduled topic then of course it is PROPAGANDA. If mass media has it on rotation then it is PROPAGANDA. Let's not just acknowledge this FACT let's ACT upon this !

Brick CityThere are so many examples of the title I can't possible fit them into this blog.. Today's topic was inspired by Gary McCarthy(new police chief of Chicago.) He has a record of honesty and BLUNT reality. It was a beautiful morning to read this statement. The so called Chiefs of Police in many crime ridden areas have never SAID what needed to be said but today Mr. McCarthy did it for them. The acknowledgement of Guns flooding the streets of areas that children can't even get a decent school BOOK is nothing less than Social Structure "Theory." Which is a theory based on reality but the refusal by the POWERS that be the poor will continue to be victimized. There is a guidline across the world that impose WEALTHY or ELITE  wants over the NEEDS of the people. Ironically this theory dates back to the early eighteen hundreds. The social deterioration of tooday is different in one way WE ARE NOT FIGHTING BACK!!! The civil/social movements of yesterday are the reason we can do so many simple things that have always been birthrights for the WEALTHY of the  right color. Yes race is always a touchy subject only because people do not want to have EQUALITY. The prefer to have ELITISM. Which inevitable cost the poor their LIVES. The MOVEMENT is still alive but the TREACHERY has grown 10folds. Scare tactics,hopelessness, passivity,obsticles have blinded the minority and caused self hatred. We are in this  together BLACK and BROWN ....when we get organized and united ALL will know what RACISM means. Let me clarify ALL OF US UNITED will know WHAT/WHO RACISM aims to keep down. LOOK AT THE HOOVER DOCTRINE...It is still APPLICABLE today. Again I say WAAAAAAAAAAAAKE UP!!!!!!!

Healthcare vs Crime

The United States has it's hand in EVERYONE else's DIPLOMACY but can't manage their own SOCIAL STRUCTURE??? Confused ? Not really ...when a NATION wants to remain PUBLICLY on top then SOCIAL issues are no exsistant. United States is GREAT at DIPLOMACY..but as in any GAME one has to careful who they ALIGN themselves with.The United States is align with soo many QUESTIONABLE NATIONS what does that say...their SMART?...CRAFTY?..RESOURCEFUL?..no! It shows their GREEDY as every other MONARCHY.
It can be said America has the BEST opportunities but REALLY...of the author of this blog won't be taken out a shot for such strong implications but ummm is the PASSIVE /AGGRESSIVE appoarch any different?Freedom of SPEECH to a certain extent.. The public is soo disillusioned as to REALITY!!
Now why is it that the most PROGRESSIVE nations can provide HEALTHCARE and EDUCATION to its CITIZENS but the GREAT SUPER POWER WILL NOT? When an individual has to get arrested to receive medical treatment WHAT IS GOING ON? People have been commiting crime to STAY WARM/EAT etc but now its ESCALATED TO HEALTHCARE..Wait let's CRITICALLY analyze this new MASS MEDIA ATTENTION....Of course something more is going on!! BUT Americans WILL WAIT FOR SOMEONE LIKE ME TO BRING THE IDEA UP OR START THE OUTRAGE...Just PATHETIC....

Expression

There is nothing more misunderstood than SILENT GESTURES,although it is the strongest form of communication. HMMM?How can that be? Well , sometimes when one individual is passionate with hand motions and another may be reserved does not necessarily mean both are not equally passionate. It is rarely clear of the intent of a silent gesture unless one speaks. Often leading to miscommunication. Why the topic, well it seems that many people are choosing to express themselves through silent statements or gestures via clothing, Internet,etc.
    The desire to articulate one's point of view has been reduced to slogans or catch phrases. No one wants to engage one another thus retreating to fantasy or logos. Yes, we are granted freedom of expression but I sure the fore fathers were referring to language,speech,critical assessment.

Yesterday was Father's Day and many children as we know were not in their Father's presence. For me my father is deceased but I was one that DID NOT have my father PRESENCE. What I had was brothers and a host of cousins. I learned alot from them but I was STILL jaded if you will by the lack of my FATHER'S PRESENCE. I read the above article and was happy to hear that their are FATHER'S in their children's life(not that I was unaware).The issue I have with most African American FATHER'S is their lack of consistency. If you are TRULY dedicated to provide financial/emotional support to your child then why have you continuously been inconsistent? The article states that the majority of survey takers held some degree. I don't give too much weight to this either because I know educated men who are present in their " FAVORITE CHILD/WOMEN" life. This is another issue, don't punish the child for your immaturity. Most men only punish STRONG BLACK WOMEN by NEGLECTING their child because the woman has picked her heart up and moved forward without revisiting the why's and focused their energy on the child. At the same token I know of uneducated men that will drop everything to be with their child. So , where's the medium you ask, the medium is with US men and women taking responsibility. By this I mean you know someone that is a single mother or someone that has children and are not doing their part. A TRUE friend will help mediate!!! It is the CHILDREN THAT NEED OUR HELP!!!!!

With all the job loss one can take advantage of this series. As I was reading through articles even I got new ideas. I have always been an advocate for continuing education. There are many plus' for African American finishing or continuing their education. Education does not DEFINE you but it INTRODUCES you to the employer, or as the articles state it gives you a starting salary that is above entry level. There are also other factors to ensure that the NEW opportunities are capitalized. Of course I am not remiss to think this task is not a difficult one. There are many factors that may prevent you from attending school. I encourage you to not limit yourself! Naysayers are negative for a reason...look for that one individual that says YOU CAN DO IT MAN/GURL!!!!!! Another quick thing DO NOT GO TO THESE QUICK SCHOOLS..employers over the long hall to not compensate the same as a if you receive an A.A. The process is the same. You can attend your local community college online and manage you time will working or whatever you want!!!!!!

Black Life

From Social to Economic  African Americans seem to be EXPENDABLE. Only the lowest form could promote such HIERARCY.. The focus is no longer on the plight of slavery, the focus has and should always be on the OPPRESSION of any minute right to engage in LIFE. Short comparision ..when the little white boy or girl messes up in school, home or in public it is tolerated ,made a joke and HUMORED ,EXCUSED, JUSTIFIED. The implication is that off CIRCUMSTANCE provides a pass in the white race and public as well. Across the board white engaged in more PUBLIC CRIME than all African Americans. So let's examine the CIRCUMSTANCE that perpetuates self destruction. Poor services from, POLICE PROTECTION, EDUCATION, FOOD,WATER, HOME SECURITY, DIVORCE, ABSENT FATHER, MASS PROPAGANDA..the list can continue.
Not to leave out the FEW success stories of the 21st Centrury.The fact that African Americans are asked to shed their identity in order to be relevant in MASS SOCIETY is an SLAP IN THE FACE TO MANY. Why should we have to conform to what some other race THINKS IS SAFE AND APPROPIATE BEHAVIOR?? We discovered many things in our NATURAL BEAUTY  that made "US" THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER COMMODITY. We discovered sooooo many first that it BEHOOVES me why we DON'T TAKE OUR PLACE AS ONE? How are we going to help abroad before we HELP AT HOME? BLACK LIFE HAS AND ALWAYZ WILL BE PRICELESS...

This sequel to Over and Over Again was kind off a let down. The plot was suppose to thicken but instead was very "READABLE" The outcome was a testament to love of difficult understandings. Many women can relate to the story but few can relate to the outcome making it unrealistic... It was short also...I read this in about three hours between work.

The Work of Global Equality

There are numerous of FLUFF organizations claiming to be working towards some type of equal rights mission. The reason I use the term FLUFF is because most of these organizations are BILLIONAIRE PLUS corporations usually inflicting more damage to the region than their token gift of limited services. This FLUFF can also be traced to some of the most egregious acts within these countries. So ,the question is , How does the international court regulate these countries when the international court's members are made from the LEADERS within these countries that are in bed with these FLUFF crusaders? There is so much propaganda out there that general CRITICAL thought has went out the door. There's alot of COMMONERS if you will that are willing to risk there life for the BASIC necessities of others. Americans are the biggest CONSUMERS and POLLUTERS in the WORLD. Yet some of the best and brightest are from countries that children are dying from hunger, water is toxic to drink if at all available, women are raped trying to gather firewood to cook, the list go on. In addition these countries produce children that give back to their country. It is something to be said about SELF PRESERVATION that Americans so selfishly indulge. Yet we are referred as the WORLD POWER.

The Kept Woman

What does it mean to be KEPT? How many Arican American women can relate to this term? Is this turn even discussed within our communities? Well ironic as it may seem many women seek this STATURE but go about it in the wrong way. If one wants to be Provided with their HEARTS desire within a Marrriage or Single, a women must possess certain qualities and be willing to ADD to the partnership on DIVERSE levels.
To be KEPT is not to be taken LIGHT. Now there are many MISTRESS' out there but that is not the audience I 'm seeking. I speaking to the WIFEY material or LONG TIME FRIEND IN A MONOGOMUS relationship. Particularly in the African American community . We have DEVALUED our WORTH by not DIVERSIFYING  out QUALITIES.
In a recent conversation it was brought to my attention of just how much I resemble a KEPT woman. Intially I was SHOCKED because like many I associated the word as DEROGATORY...The person I was speaking with went through explaining the TRUE meaning . Now, don't think this was a far out conversation.Seriously, I respect the individual as they are well informed on the TERM as a lover of EUROPEAN culture historical and present. With that being said , sisterz it is simply an POINT of knowing your station or class level. I am not a "WORKER" does this imply that I am LAZY ,DOCILE, without AMBITION, NO. This just is something that is taught , learned at around age 10 maybe sooner. I enjoy DIVERSE things and see no reason to "WORK" my way through a system that is MEANINGLESS but on FALSE PROMISES. I enjoy being a HOMEMAKER, ACTIVIST,ADVOCATE, etc. I am interested in an array of events.
Simply , know your worth ,know your station, THE SOONER YOU CAN ACCEPT IT THE SOONER YOU CAN CLAIM IT!!!!!!!

We originate from the most RESILIENT NATIONZ ON THE PLANET... Our history consist of  WARRIORS, QUEENS, ENTREPRENURS, BUSINESSMEN/WOMEN, PIONEERS,SURGEONS, ETC....Yet we are lost. Are values are nothing short of LUNACY. Now we can use the argument of lost fathers and mothers to DRUGS,CRIME ETC..but let's remind ourselves that our ANCESTORS were stolen from their land , sold away from their MOTHER ,FATHER ,SISTER ,BROTHER etc.  Through all of that they were able to RISE and maintain INTEGRITY...by accepting LOVING BELIEVING IN SELF.

Think on This

African Americans are the largest Consumers in America; yet we still are last in MOST ECONOMIC /SOCIAL classes. How is this possibble ? Let's not assume that MOST are DRUG dealers. The problem goes deeper than this simplistic explanation that MANY indulge.
The reason a group can CONSUME an EXCESS of anything (FOOD,ALCHOL,RX DRUGS etc.) is ROOTED in the lack of or oppression, self~esteem,depression, the list goes on. When you look at the conditions of the mass African Americans many are living in THIRD World  conditions. Yet if you look at places such as Haitti (prior to earthquake)WARLORDS where able to secure an arsenal of guns,amminotion, drugs etc. The pyshological reasoning for these type of behaviors are KNOWN to CAPITALIST. The general behavior that is associated with harse conditions are not KNOWN by accident, there are MILLIONS of dollars SPENT to PERFECT the CONDITIONS that would KEEP CONSUMERS,CONSUMERS and CAPITALIST, CAPITALIST...What steps can you make TODAY to POSITIVILY impact your LEGACY?

Southern Education

Well , I have been down South for about 9months;upon my arrival I was excited to be in the "second" homeland. I quickly began my journey to quench the thirst of Southern Comfort. I was impressed with the daily etiquette. I wanted to go further and connect with intellectual professionals, so I preceded to the place where you would assume these professionals would congregate. I went to the local college system to start my networking. I'm from a diverse area so I was extremely comfortable speaking to many people whom I thought would want to engage with me. I was MISTAKEN.....
I have decided to stay current in my field so I 'm taking self interest courses. I have come to terms that not everyone would like to stay current in politics/economics or even social class issues. It is very disappointing to see people whom look like me "finally" and have them not share my enthusiasm for KNOWLEDGE.
The Administration staff is nonchalant, rude and just plain ignorant. I should not have to pull teeth to want an education. The fact that I am in the building seeking information should invoke some type of fever. It is infuriating to see that people just don't want to WORK. I mean do we need to go back to SLAVERY? I know this is a shocking question but REALLY..what does it take to help someone else that is trying to better themselves?

African vs Black

Black is a color not an ETHNICITY. Many Africans seem to think Blacks have no attachment to Africa. This is also argued by many  Blacks. A true African (American) knows it is impossible to be Black without being African. Most Caucasion or Whites know that they to are more African  than European. The taboo subject of Slavery is proof that American Blacks are Africans. It is an ABOMINATION that we were stripped of are language ,records falsified or destroyed so we can not even visit or claim our TRUE HERITAGE. I am a descendent of the ILLEGAL Slave Trade that continued through the Virgin Islands specifically St. Croix , is the last place we can trace my great~great~great~grandfather. His "paperwork" is so ILLEGAL we don't have the orgin. So , do I as an American born Black have no right to say my ancestors are from AFRICA? No,,I have every right!!!!! The fact that many Africans believe otherwise is DISHEARTENING...

THA WEAKEST EMOTION (FEAR)

When you look at the SITUATIOZ in tha Ghettoz of American ONE common factor is REPEATED AND PERPETUATED ...FEAR....Thsi emotion is compounded by the GENERAL LACK OF COMMUNITY...IMPOSED BY LOCAL~STATE&NATIONAL GOVERNMENT.... The argument of the occupants of these NEIGHBORHOODZ don't want to cooperate with the LAW..so in~turn children are feed a diet of FEAR from the time they can talk which translates to Animal INSTINCTS ...SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST...Does this imply that THE CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO EQUALITY does not APPLY to said GROUP? OF course NOT...but unfortunately that is EXACTLY the STANCE the forementioned GOVENMENTAL DEPARTMENTS has taken. INACTION ABSOLUTELY IMPLIES AGREEMENT OF SAID CONDITIONS...A CONTINUOUS EXAMPLE CAN BE SEEN THROUGHOUT NON~ETHNIC NEIGHBORHOODS OR SCHOOLS OR GROCERY STORES ETC.....

OPEN MIND

It is safe to presume that most Anglo~Americans are uncomfortable with the CONFIDENT Afro~American. This can be shown in the reluctance of  DUE PROCESS  by the LEGISLATIVE~JUDICAL&EXCUTIVE branches of the US GOVERNMENT. The lack of RIGHTS provided to Afro~Americans HISTORICAL has remained CONSTANT. Sure ther is an African~American  president .... REALLY does that imply EQUALITY or PROGRESSIVE MOVEMENT for "US?"
When Afro~Americans truely ORGANIZE "WE" become target of SECRET investigations. Let's not be SSIMPLISTIC to assume that Afro~American encompasses on BLACK AMERICANS. This unspoken WAR includes all AFRICAN descendants. The information is EASILY obtainable but PROPAGANDA diminishes Curiousity. Has anyone wonder what really happened to WHITE SUPREMICIST? They are in even GREATER positions on POWER. ONE MUST ONLY OPEN THEIR MIND AND READ FACTS TO DECIFER THE FICTION THAT IS "NEWS."

In this life one can assume he/she will have to sacrifice SUMTHING in order to pursue Goals....The question is why does it have to be EDUCATION? Is the weight of life that HEAVY on the BRAIN? Education is DIFFERENT from SCHOOLING...I have to wonder DOES ANYONE CARE? When "WE" complain about our STATUS in SOCIETY we should ask ourselves are we COMPLACENT? The HUSTLE ~STRUGGLE or Movement has not CHANGED itz FUNDAMENTAL purpose. It is "WE" that have COMPROMISED our INTERGRITY.......
