SECOND TERM OF CHANGE

One would like to embrace the notion that change has come. One could argue there is a "BLACK MAN" that is PRESIDENT. One can dismiss the fact that his mothers cousin was the vice president or that he has NO CONNECTION to his KENYAN father. One would need to  go further to understand the ESSENCE of a BLACK MAN. Black is used for the sole purpose to universally refer to one of AFRICAN descent as described by 1drop rule. In all facets of the world BLACK is an American term. Excuse the slight detour, but it is the intention to convey complete understanding of the term as a critical eye examines the second term of this"BLACK " President.

Blacks in America are treated less than animals. There have to step and fetch, show no connection to Africa Diaspora, forget about and never mention slavery to be accepted,embraced ok'd for clearance. This may seem HARSH but he reality of this is EXTREMELY prevalent in this LAND OF THE FREE. The social conformity to an EDUCATED AFRICAN is one of CAUTION..DISTRUST.APPREHENSION. So as this BLACK President enters this second term what will change for the race he's classified as.....NOTHING. In fact , there is a movement to FURTHER OPPRESS the NEW GENERATION of African Males. This new generation are TIRED of the status~quo. But wait ..MURDER in the name of community policing etc is going virtually unchecked. Murder by the FRATERNAL BROTHERHOOD OF AMERICA aka the POLICE. Young men HAVE BEEN GUNNED DOWN BY THESE PUBLIC SERVICE members with NO JUSTIFICATION, if one will accept the minuscule justification or 'provocation" then YOUNG WHITE BOYS should start to be murdered TODAY.

What will change...WHAT HAS CHANGED..WHAT PROGRESSION HAS OCCURRED for the BLACK community???

PILGRAMS VS NATIVE AMERICANS

This will be short. The Native Americans were already here on "PLYMOUTH" hunting and Gathering. Living peacefully within the boundaries negotiated between tribes. So the Pilgrims come along and murder, steal, poison all in the name of CIVILITY. HMMM..MAYBE THE MEMO WAS READ WRONG. Furthermore, why are scores of AFRICAN AMERICANS PREPARING TURKEYS as a perpetual ritual of false HISTORY?
So, we barely have an attachment to our own history ,yet we'll partake in the sanctimonious ceremony. There is no need to regurgitate information you can find throughout the W.W.W. as well as colleges, libraries, etc. The point is ..WE AS AFRICAN AMERICAN need to RECREATE OUR OWN CULTURAL TRADITIONS. Celebrate and pay homage to our events.

ROSEY ROSEVILLE

The sun shines everyone has a smile on there face. Stay at home mothers are abound most mornings power walking the mall or jogging the Galleria area. This is a surface view of this area that claims to be so ROSEY. Upon further inspection it is a modern day slave town where anyone other than ROSEY WHITES are seen as servants and peasants.

Entering most business you will see a constant pattern. Whites are mangers ,shop keepers, store owners even homeless but Mexicans are the cleaners ,Blacks are look at as diseased and others are so few and far in between one can only imagine what they go through.

Let's take one of the oldest most ESTABLISHED companies Nordstrom. Upon walking in this Nordstrom you see PREDOMINATELY white mangers,co-managers in every department. Again MEXICANS make up THE ENTIRE CLEANING STAFF but the call them facilities. To make up for the lack of Blacks they can be found down in the basement labeled as stock. There are about (3) on floor. But a slogan the manager has adopted the saying  "well this is ROSEY ROSEVILLE."

Now what a parody. As someone said" if Nordstrom wanted to change the perception they would, one can clearly walk into this store and she that it's RACIST." A note to readers..Don't go during holidays. Go during off season..the help changes according to need, meaning to give the massas a break for maternity etc..more color is brought in to drive sales due to the perception of a company that serves all.

The TRAP

The American Dream ...exist only in the confines of ones mind. To bring this to fruition as an African/Black in America is to TOTALLY GIVE UP YOUR CULTURE AND REALITIES..CHARACTER..PERSONALITY. One will have to forgo this in order to make the MASSA ....HAPPY..COMFORTABLE...SECURE..RELAXED. This concept has always eluded me. The question that I often ponder is "HOW IS A LEADER DOCILE.UNSURE..CONFUSED?"Then one would say it's your TONE...my TONE..but then when I COUNTER it's your IMPLIED ACCUSATIONS...I'm labeled AGGRESSIVE. This "culture" has reigned over all NATIONALITIES in America forcing them to CONFORM TO ONE WAY.. WHITE.

It is a TRAP due to the COST of SUCCESS. The conditions that one is subjected to in order to TASTE success. When one has  a CONSCIENCE that is ACUTELY aware of the impact pebble can make then the CAPITALIST embed fear amongst those that are not such AWARE. The TRAP is as old as COLONIALISM yet for generations WE have bought into this TRAP.

One must think..to go without for a short time yet REAP the benefits of ones STRIFE for the  FREEDOM of thought,place ,and TIME; or SUFFER INDEFINITELY for a PLACE in aN ECONOMIC SOCIETY in which YOU are TREATED AS PUPPETS/WHORES/VILLAINS and any other DEGRADATION this society DEEMS APPLICABLE?

TRAP~BONDAGE share similarities for the expressed purpose of this blog. One is in BONDAGE ..mental..physically if one can not FREELY MOVE ABOUT WITHOUT in a assumed CIVILIZED nation. TRAP ...in a SYSTEMIC process that OUST one for showing ALLEGIANCE TO CONSCIENCE ....PROGRESSION ...and  INTELLECT.

Social/Economic conditions have NOT changed

Economy is bad but now it will  become NON ~EXISTENT to us ..the BLACK people who openly celebrate the Presidency. Already the quote unquote NATURAL movement has given pause to many employers. Making such statements has labeled many as militant the NEW Black pANTHER MOVEMENT.sO am I to assume that all whites who want to were a bald head ARE KKK and act accordingly? The precarious position AWAKE/AWARE Blacks find them selves is reminiscent of pre~civil war days....

The most exasperating deliberation  to wear  my NATURAL all the way  picked out or just twisted as to not SCARE the white folk is INFURIATING as an intellectual affront.  Social Norms is where one is fooled. I'll expand ..you see kids of all RACE embracing the Culture of RAP/HIP~HOP~REGGAE basically all forms of AFRICAN music..yet AFRICAN/BLACK AMERICANS are the HIGHEST OPPRESSED in EVERY AMERICAN SYSTEM.

Against all the rhetoric and subjugation the above opinion can be backed by FACTS that are easily discovered in ALL systems..laws...demographics..etc...

Thinking of the proper way to negotiate the next level in LIFE..LIFE for a STRONG~MINDED go getter in a corporate ..passive world. The question boils down to the TONE of the VOICE...So when I'm light almost airy this is acceptable...let me try to wrap my MIND around this CONCEPT...HUUUUM...........

In the 21st century I as a BLACK EDUCATED WOMAN am to allow a WHITE woman to speak to me in any TONE she chooses just because she has the "AMERICAN "perception of of POWER...I am wrestling with this completely...
Now I am to ACCLIMATE to speak WHITE to try and APPEASE this IN BREED ...INTERESTING..

This WORLD is soo backwards...Needless to say I am the HUSTLER of the TEAM but not the STEPPIN ~N~FETCHIN they hoped for...AGAIN with the invisible HOOPS...AGAIN ..INTERESTING...

ASSIMILATION

In a world that tells you "go with the flow" one would assume assimilation is a healthy action. Well if one is constantly told to assimilate then what does that say to ones individualism? How can one be greater than the other? More important , who determines the proper level of assimilation?

Interestingly enough these and other questions are rarely asked. Society has put so much emphasis on assimilating that it has become a natural thought for the masses. So when an injustice has occurred or in process ,NO ONE flinches due to the subliminal conscience agreeing to the "troublemaker" that is not trying to embrace the conditions.

Example, there is a new awakening of NATURAL hair movement within the African American community in California.Now for those of you that are not from the SUNSHINE state were images of BLONDE HAIR BLUE EYES are the more popular you probably are amongst the "WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL" questioners. Well when going into corporate America where ASSIMILATION is what is silently pushed while"INNOVATIVE,PROGRESSIVE PROJECTS" are said to be in need, this is a problem.

To embrace the texture and diversity of ones hair is INNOVATIVE, so why are companies promoting the "CORPORATE" look if they want to be recognized GLOBALLY. The constant push to look like SUZIE OR SARAH is exasperating. More so then preparing for the ACTUAL JOB. So again ,one may ask WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL? Well the big deal is ASSIMILATION is the age old process of racism and segregation. It is a big deal due to the fact that ones embracing of CULTURE/ETHNICITY is called to question ones WORK ETHIC and CAPABILITY in a quote unquote PROFESSIONAL environment. Again some may say, SO.
